Max Verstappen has won the last four Formula 1 world championships, but by his own admission enters the 2025 season with a car that is not the quickest on grid.

Max Verstappen begins his quest for a fifth F1 world championship this weekend in Melbourne. Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has said his Red Bull challenger will not be the quickest car to start the season.

Verstappen's start to 2024 was blistering, winning seven of the first 10 grands prix on his way to a fourth successive world championship. The third-place finish for Red Bull was a shock to most in the paddock, considering the historic dominance the team had enjoyed the previous two years. "If you would have asked that question here last year then at the end of the season again it looked completely different, so a lot of things can always change quite quickly in Formula 1."
