Out of 483 high-risk patients, only a handful developed COVID rebound symptoms, and the scientists say more research is needed to determine why.
Most of the patients in the study had been vaccinated, and many had received booster vaccinations. The median age was 63. While these patients were high-risk for COVID-19, none was immunocompromised.
