An ordinance that was tailor-made for Wayne mayor Chris Vergano to go from part-time to full-time and raise his salary more than 600% is expected to be tabled when the township council meets on Wednesday night. Wayne township attorney Matthew Giacobbe said Tuesday that Vergano had asked that the controversial measure be “administratively withdrawn,” and tabled until further notice.
