Conor McGregor has been arrested and charged by police in Miami, for allegedly smashing a fan's phone outside a hotel.

UFC megastar McGregor was arrested on Monday for an alleged incident outside the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel, according to theThe Irishman has been charged with strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief, a Miami Beach police spokesman said. The fan was taking pictures outside the hotel when McGregor allegedly seized and smashed his phone at about 5am. The hotel contains a well-known nightclub, Liv.

McGregor was apparently on holidays in the area. He is yet to confirm a return fight after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov last year, but has been touted to fight Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone in a popular UFC match-up.
