With Avengers: The Kang Dynasty set to be the next Avengers movie, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are nailing down the problem about the Phase 6 film.

Ever since The Infinity Saga came to an end, the Avengers have been benched as the MCU has been introducing new heroes into the franchise.
While production hasn't started on Avengers: The Kang Dynasty due to the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes, many have been wondering if the fifth installment is the right way to bring the team back for the first time since Avengers: Endgame. Throughout Phases 4 and 5, there have been no Avengers reunions whatsoever that would make the re-assemble for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty feel organic.
Over on Reddit, this has become a massive discussion, which was started by OK-Sir8600, who brings up the point that there have been "a lot of new characters that we see once and then we have to wait years before seeing them again." The user instead proposed that leading into Avengers: Secret Wars, Marvel Studios "should do a [sic] in-between Avengers movie," with lower stakes to have characters either get re-familiarized with one another or actually meet for the first time.
In addition to the team dynamic, Marvel Studios would probably also benefit from having The Kang Dynasty arc shelved from the next Avengers movie, in light of Jonathan Majors facing legal charges. To this point, Marvel Studios hasn't commented on how they are going to tackle having Kang continue being the big bad of The Multiverse Saga despite what is going on with Majors, whose trial will begin in September.
Time will tell how Marvel Studios is tackling the Avengers' inevitable reunion, but right now, having to wait until 2026 to see the team together is a mixed bag, to say the least. Plans could always be changed before then, especially as the strikes continue to push Marvel's schedule back further. If anything, it would be a welcomed surprise if some of the heroes actually meet up before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Marvel Studios is just keeping it under wraps for now.
