Although adamantium may soon debut in the MCU following to the hunt for vibranium established in Black Panther 2, the Wakandan metal is still better.

While rumors persist that the X-Men franchise's adamantium will soon debut in the MCU due to the current vibranium arms race seen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the highly durable metal still can't compete with Wakanda's chief resource. Best known as the nearly-indestructible metal used to cover Wolverine's bones and claws during his time with the Weapon X program, adamantium may become highly coveted by rival nations unable to get their hands on vibranium.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT After vibranium was confirmed in Wakanda Forever as a major resource sought after by several nations in the MCU , there have been rumors that the upcoming Captain America: New World Order will feature adamantium as a powerful replacement metal.

By and large, vibranium is far more versatile as seen in Wakanda . Virbranium is applied to nearly all the technologies, suits, and weapons used by the Black Panther and the Dora Milaje. It also plays a major part of Wakanda's infrastructure and defense capabilities. Likewise, vibranium is a key necessity to keep Namor's underwater city of Talokan alive and thriving as well.

Adamantium Will Never Replace Vibranium In The MCU While adamantium may be created and/or discovered as a result of the ongoing vibranium arms race in the MCU, it's never going to surpass the value of vibranium itself. Although this isn't to say that adamantium isn't valuable or dangerous , vibranium is a far superior fictional metal due to its energy capabilities and greater versatility as most recently seen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
