A medical examination of Russian Opposition Leader Alexei Navalny has indicated he was the victim of poisoning.
The long-time opponent of Vladimir Putin fell severely ill on-board a Moscow flight after drinking a cup tea and remains in a serious condition, facing possible long-term effects.
Mr Navalny was airlifted to Germany for testing and doctors treated him with atropine, which was the same antidote used in the 2018 nerve agent attack in Salisbury. Officials have not yet identified the specific poisoned used. Image: AP
