E-script provider MediSecure has collapsed into administration just three weeks after it revealed it had fallen victim to a major data breach.
On Monday, administrators from FTI Consulting, Vaughan Strawbridge and Paul Harlond, were appointed to head the proceedings and recognised the “significant concern” from the recent cyber attack.
“Our role as administrators and liquidators includes investigating the affairs of the company to identify reasons for its failure, and to examine options that may be available to recover assets for the benefit of creditors of the companies,” Mr Strawbridge said. The Melbourne based e-script provider has halted its operations entirely, with its website solely displaying its public statement on the matter with subsequent updates published occasionally.
