Manchester City's under-18s compete in the FA Youth Cup final on Friday night against Leeds United.
The Manchester City Youth Cup winners of the past have written their names into Blues history - from the 2008 side that included Kieran Trippier, Ben Mee and Daniel Sturridge, to the 2020 group who have raised millions in transfer fees for the club in just four years.
Goalkeepers True Grant has kept goal for City this season in the Youth Cup, supported by 16-year-old Spike Brits. Grant is son of former Manchester United stopper Lee Grant, and has been included in the senior squad for a period this season when Ederson was injured. Brits signed for a fee last summer from AFC Wimbledon and impressed in the under-18 Premier League Cup final defeat to United last month, while Jack Wint is the other youth team goalkeeper.
Right-back Lakyle Samuel is the son of former Aston Villa and Bolton defender Jlloyd Samuel and has been a key part of the Youth Cup squad for two seasons, earning praise from his coaches. Having been sent off in last season's semi-final at Arsenal, Samuel has bounced back to lead his side to the final this term.
Emilio Lawrence has enjoyed a good season, scoring once in the cup run, with fellow number 10 Luca Fletcher also on the scoresheet. Then there is Jaden Heskey, often operating at the tip of midfield when he's not leading the line. Son of former England and Liverpool striker Emile, Jaden has two goals and an assist from five Youth Cup games so far and has nine goals in total in a productive season across four age groups.
