From frozen forks to midday auroras, Matty Jordan's videos of his Antarctic winter experience have grown a global following.

"The videos started as a way to engage my friends and family back home and show them what it was like to live here," he said."I've got lots and lots of people keen to see what Antarctic looks like on a day-to-day basis."Mr Jordan, who is from Western Australia, is the redevelopment supervisor at Scott Base with Antarctica New Zealand and now has almost 400,000 followers on Instagram.
Mr Jordan documents the weather, such as stars and auroras in the middle of the day, and fun videos of life on the base."One of the cool things we can do down here is freeze forks," he said.Mr Jordan has spent summers in Antarctica before, but this has been his first winter experience."We've got very defined times on when the last sunset will occur and the first sunrise," he said.
