If you're Russian-born millionaire and cryptocurrency fanatic Sergei Sergienko, you stay surprisingly calm.Sergei Sergienko claims he was a "billionaire on paper" before the crypto market crash.
The crash saw tens of millions of people around the world take a significant hit to their hip pockets, including more than one million Australians.Compared to its peak late last year, crypto's overall market value has now halved, haemorrhaging an eye-watering $2.2 trillion dollars. "This crash has really brought it home to people that, actually, the music's going to stop sometime," he told reporter Tom Steinfort. The hard-boiled crypto sceptic fears naive investors lured in by the hype will be the biggest casualties, while long-time diehards like Sergienko are shielded by their fortunes.
