Meg Lanning has announced her retirement from international cricket bowing out as one of the game’s brightest stars.

Meg Lanning has announced she is hanging up the baggy green after a stellar 13-year career playing more than 240 international matches.

Lanning played in Australia’s 2012 T20 and 2013 ODI World Cup triumphs and was first named captain in January 2014 when she filed in for the injured Jodie Fields.
