A record Mega Millions jackpot may be in play after no ticket matched all winning numbers in Friday night’s drawing
The estimated $1.55 billion grand prize – about $757.2 million if the lump sum cash option is chosen – could potentially be the largest jackpot in Mega Millions’ history during the next drawing Tuesday night at 11 p.m. ET. A record Mega Millions jackpot of around $1.53 billion was won in South Carolina in 2018. “With enthusiastic players across the country, many of whom are newcomers to the game, it is indeed likely that there will be a new record Mega Millions jackpot.
Friday’s winning numbers were 11-30-45-52-56 with a Mega Ball of 20. And although no one matched them all, some players did get rich Friday. Seven tickets sold across Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas won $1 million each after matching the first five numbers, according to Mega Millions.
