Meghan and Harry are officially Britain’s fourth most liked royal couple according to a new poll released on Tuesday.

Meghan and Harry are officially Britain’s fourth most liked royal couple according to a new poll released on Tuesday. The poll, conducted by British newspaper the Daily Express, asked the public “who is your favourite royal couple?”, with more than 70,000 Brits registering a response.

The Sussexes were beaten by Prince William and Princess Catherine, King Charles and Queen Camilla and even Princess Edward and the Duchess of Edinburgh. About 50,000 Brits voted for the Prince and Princess of Wales, while just 3,850 voted for Meghan and Harry as their favourite royal couple. The results indicate that the British public are likely still wary of the Sussexes four years after they sensationally quit royal duties and relocated to California. Gauging public opinion on the royal family is a major preoccupation for the British media and most newspapers concurrently run polls on the most liked and disliked members of the family. Each member of the royal family is also ranked quarterly by YouGov, which is believed to be followed by even the palace itself to help read the temperature of the nation. Currently, William is the most popular member of the royal family in the United Kingdom with an approval rating of about 68 per cent, as of December 2023.He is closely followed by his aunt Princess Anne, who boasts an impressive 67 per cent approval rating, with Princess Catherine rounding out the top three with a 64 per cent approval rating. King Charles has a relatively tepid 51 per cent approval rating as of December, while Harry sits at 27 percent and Meghan at 26 per cent. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the disgraced Prince Andrew is currently the least popular member of the monarchy with an approval rating of just eight per cent. Harry and Meghan’s latest results come as the Duchess of Sussex reportedly had second thoughts about returning to social media.
