reporter Katie Nicholl, the couple have requested there be as"little formality as possible" while they're working in South Africa—meaning they don't expect the people they meet to bow or curtsy,they're totally fine with being called by their first names. Ya know, instead of his/her royal highness.
“It’s very much how they want things done,” a source said. “There is no protocol that says you have to bow or curtsy when you meet them, it’s really up to the individual.” And though we're only a couple of days into the tour, the royal couple have already been showing plenty of PDA, from hand-holding to gazing lovingly at one another.
