Hot on the heels of the news that one of the most-loved couples in politics, Justin Trudeau and Sophie Gregoire were separating, all eyes have turned towards a podcast quote that took place during a chat with Meghan Markle just months before the split.
During their chat, both women used the parallels of women and lionesses to echo their thoughts on reclaiming “freedom”, with Meghan in particular citing a quote by Shefali Tsabary about a woman, like a brave lioness, who shed all expectations to live authentically.
Since then, the pair have forged a strong friendship together, with Meghan referring to her as a “dear friend” during an appearance on her Archetypes podcast last November.
