'I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,' the Duchess of Sussex said in a statement. Picture: Supplied With Love, Meghan, which consists of eight 30-minute episodes hosted and produced by the Duchess herself, explores her domestic life as she cooks, gardens, bakes, arranges flowers and shows off her green thumb. Its delayed premiere comes as the mother-of-two and her husband Prince Harry were seen on Friday comforting residents and volunteers affected by the blazes across Los Angeles. At least 16 people have died, and some 200,000 have been displaced in less than a week since the wind-fed wildfires began. According to the latest details emerging from the US on Monday, the blazes have torn through 40,000 acres in greater Los Angeles, destroying more than 12,300 structures. Footage shows Harry and Meghan hugging, speaking, and handing out food to residents who had fled to the Pasadena Convention Center. Meghan wore a blue LA baseball cap, shirt, and a white mask as the Sussexes also met with World Central Kitchen (WCK) founder chef Jose Andres and Pasadena mayor Victor Gordo. The WCK offers free hot meals to the public and emergency crews at pop-up locations across California as the fires devastate communities. Mr Gordo said Harry and Meghan had served food anonymously and claimed they were not volunteering for publicity. 'This is their second visit today. We were here earlier today and they were serving food, anonymously. 'Then they wanted to go visit the first responders and personally thank them for their efforts to help our families and our neighbours.' The Sussexes' nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom home in Montecito is about a two-hour drive from Palisades, where the most extensive fire is only 11 per cent contained. As of Sunday, the second largest blaze is the Eaton fire, which is 15 per cent contained, while the Kenneth fire is 80 per cent contained and the Hurst fire is 76 per cent contained
