More than 300 firefighters are battling a number of out-of-control bushfires burning in Victoria. 9News

is being issued for Bunyip, Bunyip North, Cornucopia, Garfield, Garfield North, Gembrook, Gentle Annie, Labertouche, Longwarry, Longwarry North, Maryknoll, Nar Nar Goon, Nar Nar Goon North, Tonimbuk, Tynong, Tynong North.Residents in Budgeree, Budgeree East, Grand Ridge, Jeeralang, Jumbuk and Yinnar South are being warned fire could strike their communities at any stage within the next six hours.An emergency update at 1:30pm warned residents to leave the area while they still could.

The blaze is currently moving in a south and easterly direction towards Grand Ridge, although a change in condition will see it turn in a westerly direction later today when conditions change.Residents in Dargo have been urged to evacuate as a fire approaches. An emergency warning has also been issued for Black Snake Creek, Cowa, Crooked River, Dargo, Gibbs, Hawkhurst, Maguires and Miowera.

Wilsons Promontory National Park has also been closed for the weekend, although there is no immediate threat to the area. Campers were approached by Parks Victoria officers this morning and asked to leave area as a precaution if conditions change over the weekend.© Nine Digital Pty Ltd 2019
