A David Jones sales clerk has been rushed to hospital with stab wounds after a confrontation with a thief in Melbourne’s CBD.
Victoria Police confirmed the David Jones sales clerk had an altercation with a man and woman when he tried to restrict their ability to remove Saint Lauren designer handbags.
“A male staff member confronted a man and woman who stole a designer handbag from a Little Bourke Street department store shortly before 12pm,” the statement read.Police are investigating a stabbing in Melbourne's David Jones on Tuesday. Picture: NCA NewsWire / Aaron FrancisThe robbery occurred during peak hour lunch trading and police have not yet caught the duo that fled the scene.
