Melbourne is again getting a dousing just a day after monster hail caused widespread damage around the city.

Instead, there had been heavy rainfalls in the outer eastern suburbs, including Ferny Creek , Monbulk and Narre Warren .At peak hour the Sandringham line was suspended with buses to replace trains between Elsternwick and Sandringham due to flooding over the lines at North Brighton. There are major delays too on the Williamstown line.

Metro Trains warned that the buses it had ordered may take over an hour to arrive to retrieve sodden commuters.
