Q: Welcome Francesca, how does it feel to be back?
A: It feels so good. Anyway it feels like I have not been away. But anyway so much has also changed and to have had two Melbourne Cups without anyone here is something that would never happen. But is great to be back to see you guys here and to see everyone who loves the racing to be back.scratching, how does that affect the race and our likely winners?
A: It is gone to a 22-horse field so there will be slightly less traffic in the run. It is a shame she is out because she was one of my bigger prize chances and the connections of Lunar Flare are amazing. It doesn’t have a massive effect but it is still going to be a really good race. Q: Showers could move in at around two o’clock this afternoon, how much difference will the wet track make?
A: We are thinking of and expecting a bit of rain but is it coming? We are looking at the form and it hasn’t got heavy track form. If it comes really late it should not get into the ground and the horses running in the earlier races won’t have a chance to open the ground up so probably won’t have too much overbearing later on.A: This year I have noted down the ones closest to the top of the market. At the bigger prize I would like to see Smokin’ Romans from Jamie Kah.
