An investigation is underway after a factory in Melbourne’s southeast was engulfed in flames just after midnight on Sunday morning.
Police were called to the cabinet-making factory in Melbourne’s Dandenong South at 1.48am on Sunday after an explosion was heard by a passerby.
The person called triple-0 while another contacted authorities around the same time when they witnessed flames coming from the factory. Authorities reported to the factory just before 2am on Sunday morning amid reports of the blaze and explosions. Picture: Andrew Henshaw/ News CorpIt was deemed under control after about an hour and a half of fighting it.Fire Rescue Victoria commander Travis Harris confirmed the building’s wall was damaged by the large explosion and noted there were no injuries from the disaster.
