Melbourne father Paul Browitt's death follows that of his younger daughter Krystal, who had turned 21 shortly before the family went on a cruise and toured White Island. His wife Maria had stayed on the ship.
Stephanie, 23, remains at The Alfred in a stable condition with her mother Marie by her side.
Adelaide woman Lisa Dallow, who was also severely burnt in the eruption, remains at The Alfred for treatment.Two others, Sydney teenager Winona Langford and local tour guide Hayden Marshall-Inman, remain missing after their bodies were not recovered, but both are presumed to have died.to be identified.
"It is deeply sad news that our longtime staff member Paul Browitt passed away on Sunday night from his injuries sustained on White Island last month," Commissioner of State Revenue Paul Broderick said in a statement on Monday.
