Two Melbourne hikers who had been missing for four nights on Victoria's Mount Buffalo have been found safe and well, Victoria Police has confirmed.
More than 120 people were involved in the search for the pair, including police, the Country Fire Authority and State Emergency Service as well as many volunteers. Police said yesterday weather conditions for the search had been favourable, and they remained optimistic about finding the couple, who were experienced hikers and were familiar with the area.
