9News can reveal the two teens arrested and the four teens on the run are linked to a violent crime spree across Melbourne's south-east.
The pair were part of a group of six youths travelling in an allegedly stolen jeep which ploughed into a Toyota hatchback at an intersection on Warrigal and Highbury in Burwood yesterday evening.
Detective Senior Sergeant Christian Von Tunk said it was a cowardly act to flee the scene knowing someone may have been injured or killed."They know someone would have been hurt in that vehicle." "They got him out of the car, put him on the lawn tried to revive him but obviously they were unsuccessful," neighbour Peter said.
"It just could have been me, I was preparing to turn right into Warragul Road waiting for the lights and then an explosion happened," he said.
