The court how the child told a group of men she was only 12 after they made remarks about her
A trial concerning two men accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year old girl out walking her dog has started today.
Crown prosecutor Kate McKay told the seven men and four women that around 8.20pm that evening, a 12-year old girl was out walking her dog on the Ormeau Road. Ms McKay said that after remarks were made about her body, the young girl told them “leave me alone, I’m only 12”. McDonnell, from Donegall Road in Belfast, is then accused of placing his hand down her trousers and touching her. The jury heard that following this, one of the other males walked behind her and pushed her shoulder then a third – who the Crown say was Corr – stood in front of her and blocked her path.
