Two men are arrested after allegedly committing a string of violent offences around Coomera, Mackay and Townsville.
The 29-year-old man allegedly drove to a property in the Burdekin, south of Townsville, broke into a house, and demanded the keys to the resident's car before continuing north in the blue Volkswagen Tiguan.
Prior to the 1,300km road trip, it is alleged the Logan man was also involved in an armed robbery at a grocery store in Coomera on Sunday. The 29-year-old Cairns man has been charged with four counts of stealing, three counts each of evading police and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of wilful damage, armed robbery, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and attempted robbery.
