Two men left with serious injuries after connected incidents in Nelson that saw a car crash into a house
Three men have been arrested after a man in his 30s was left with a serious head injury following an assault in Nelson.
Officers were then called back to the same road at 2.30am yesterday after a man in his 30s was seriously injured when a car crashed into a house. The car is thought to have been in pursuit with another vehicle at the time.Now, three men have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and remain in custody at this time. They are a 30-year-old man from Nelson, a 25-year-old man from Blackburn and a 32-year-old man from Brierfield.
Det Supt Nick Connaughton, of East Division, said: “We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and will not tolerate violence of any kind on our streets. We have increased patrols in the impacted areas to pro-actively disrupt any further behaviour of this kind and to provide reassurance to the public.
