While this year's Met Gala brought plenty of amazing fashion highlights, some A-list celebrities including Rihanna and Blake Lively were missing from his year's event
When it comes to all things fashion and celebrity, the Met Gala is one of the most highly-anticipated events of the year. With some of the biggest stars from industries including music and film heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to mark the opening night of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit, celebrities must dress according to one specific theme.
Rihanna Over the years, Rihanna’s Met Gala looks have gone down in the history books thanks to their bold designs. What’s more, last year the Rude Boy singer made even more headlines after she was fashionably late when she rocked up to the event with partner A$AP Rocky. It marks the second year in a row that the 36 year old actress hasn’t attended the event. In 2023, Blake didn’t attend the event as it occurred just months after she welcomed her fourth child into the world and told PEOPLE magazine that she would be watching from “my couch” instead.
