Despite reports in the media of a so-called 'Indian summer', hopes of a warm autumn have been shattered for most of the UK. In Liverpool, persistent rain is expected while temperatures feel cooler and breezier . Some heavy downpours are expected this evening, particularly along the western coast.
Today: Tomorrow: Elsewhere in the UK, a fresh weather warning for heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office. The yellow warning – indicating heavy rain could cause some disruption – has been issued for much of England and Wales, apart from North Wales, parts of the West Midlands and the north-west of England, between 5pm on Thursday and 10am on Friday.
