The Met Office warns that storms could lead to some disruption, especially to travel
The Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning which covers the whole of Greater Manchester. The yellow warning comes into effect at midday on Sunday and remains in place until 10pm.
The alert warns that the storms could lead to some disruption in places, especially to travel and isolated property flooding is possible.The Met Office says: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely to break out in the south of this area late Sunday morning and early Sunday afternoon, moving steadily north whilst growing into larger areas of rain before clearing the area.
The warning comes as temperatures this weekend are set to high the mid 20s across the UK. According to the Met Office forecast temperatures in Manchester will reach 23c on Friday afternoon.
