Treacherous conditions and frosty temperatures are expected to stick around for a little longer
The Met Office have issues an amber cold weather warning as frosty conditions are set to stick around.
In West Yorkshire, minimum temperatures have been ranging between minus 7.4C and five degrees with some snowfall in parts of the region. Freezing temperatures have meant for treacherous conditions and chaos on roads across the region but the wintry weather isn't expected to stop just yet. The Met Office has now said that a return to milder conditions is likely to be delayed by a few days, prompting forecasters to trigger an extension of the level 3 cold weather alert. It is now in place until 9am on Wednesday, January 25, and cold and frosty conditions will remain across all of England.
