Yorkshire could be hit by its first heatwave of the year as the Met Office shares the exact dates for the "soft" or "mini" heatwave forecast later this month.
Forecasters at the agency DO have predicted the temperature to gradually rise across the UK and Yorkshire, however in its medium to long-range forecast, looking ahead to the final two weeks of April and the beginning of May, the Met Office appears 'non-committal,' reports Birmingham Live. A spokesperson for Met Office said: "Confidence in the forecast is fairly low for the end of April and early May. In general, there is a greater chance of more settled weather dominating during this period, maintaining the likelihood of morning fog patches and late season night frosts.
