Met police need to find a “speedy resolution” to Partygate, minister Paul Scully tells LBC
Small Business Minister Paul Scully told LBC today the Government is “keen to draw a line” under the party-gate investigation and wants the matter brought "to a head."
Scotland Yard announced yesterday that detectives investigating alleged lockdown-busting parties held in Downing Street and the Cabinet Office have begun interviewing key witnesses. "This investigation involves a significant amount of investigative material; the serving of over 100 questionnaires and the need to individually assess every response.
"However, every questionnaire response is being assessed alongside all available evidence, and should this reach the evidential threshold, then referrals will be made."
