The ex-Dunfermline and Alloa manager believes the Ibrox boss was way off with his assessment of the match, which ended 1-0 to Celtic.
Grant told Go Radio's Football Show:"I don't like criticising managers but I think he is delusional on what he's just said there.
"If I am going in there as a Rangers manager I am putting Celtic under so much pressure, not allowing them to drop off and get a pass, although that was maybe a tactic. The Hoops are currently top of the Scottish Premiership on goal difference and have a Champions League campaign to look forward to after the international break.
