Rangers boss Michael Beale insists he could understand Ibrox fans reacting furiously to their derby defeat to Celtic but is adamant Kemar Roofe’s controversially disallowed first half goal should have stood.
Beale was booed for substituting Roofe as Rangers chased a leveller after Kyogo’s first half injury time strike. The former Anderlecht man found the net in the first half but it was ruled out by Don Robertson after a VAR check for a foul by Cyriel Dessers on Gustaf Lagerbielke, with the Ibrox gaffer furious with that decision. But on the reaction of the supporters he said: “I understand, there is a lot of weight in the shirt and expectations are high.
"We can't concede a goal the way we did. It's a goal from an isolated moment. It's a fantastic finish but on our side it's a horror story. We are behind and have a lot of catching up to do. We have to come back stronger after the international break. It's been a rough week.
