Michael Jordan's famous size 13 'Bred' Air Jordan XIII sneakers he wore during the 1998 NBA Finals have been sold for a staggering figure at auction.
The signed size 13"Bred" Air Jordan XIII sneakers, which were worn by the Chicago Bulls star during game two of the 1998 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz, were sold for a whopping $3.5 million through Sotheby’s Auctions.
"Sotheby's is extremely proud to hold the world record for most valuable game-worn sports memorabilia at auction and the most valuable sneakers ever sold, both of which - to no surprise - are directly tied to the global icon, Michael Jordan." The sale solidifies Jordan as the most valuable athlete in the world as he broke his previous record for a pair of sneakers from 2021 when his Nike Air Ships sold for $2.25m.
