I think that is enough to warrant me leading the party going forward." Senator Matt Canavan, who resigned from Cabinet to back Mr Joyce in the spill, will not return to the frontbench.Mr Joyce resigned as deputy prime minister and the Nationals leader in 2018 after revelations surfaced of his affair with former media adviser Vikki Campion.
