He will remain at the public broadcaster.Rowland, who has worked at the ABC for more than 35 years, has co-hosted News Breakfast since 2010.
“Millions of Australians wake up with you each day and you are a calm and caring and steady person to wake up to each and every morning and it’s been a privilege to sit next to you,” Brennan said.“We’ve had so much fun and you are a true leader of the ABC and a very loved colleague.”In an Instagram post minutes after the announcement, Rowland said the move was “not a decision I’ve taken lightly”.
