She made made the revelation during an on-stage chat with interviewer Ellen DeGeneres in Washington, DC earlier this week, theWhile promoting her new book,,” the best-selling author recalled how she decided: “Let me keep my hair straight.” Michelle Obama and Ellen DeGeneres speak onstage during the “Michelle Obama: The Light We Carry Tour” at the Warner Theatre in Washington DC on Nov. 15.She even spoke about the instances when she would joke with her staff about changing up her look — adding that they would get scared.
“That’s the African American experience … but women in offices that are worried, ‘Should I wear skirts? Should I wear pantyhose?’ I hate pantyhose.”
