The Big Ten has suspended University of Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh for the remainder of the regular season, the conference announced Friday. The move comes three weeks after the NCAA announced an investigation into Harbaugh and the team over alleged sign stealing. The suspension only applies to actual games, of which Michigan has three more during the regular season.
Harbaugh won't be allowed to coach the team from the sidelines during games, but will be able to serve as head coach at practices during the week. The Wolverines, who are 9-0 for the season, are set to head to Happy Valley to face Penn State, 8-1, on Saturday.
