Microsoft will reportedly challenge the Federal Trade Commission should the regulator block Activision Blizzard deal Bloomberg reports that Microsoft hasn't spoken with the FTC surrounding remedies or concessions to get the deal through and claims the FTC is in the final stages of its investigation into the deal and is expected to make a recommendation soon. After making its recommendation, FTC commissioners would then vote on whether to file a lawsuit to try and block the deal.
Bloomberg Intelligence's antitrust analyst Jennifer Rie believes it would be hard for the FTC to win in court against Microsoft and that a court battle could push the deal beyond Microsoft and Activision's planned end date of June 30th, 2023.
