Microsoft Teams has experienced a major global outage, leaving millions unable to contact colleagues or collaborate on work.
The Microsoft application is the preferred communications platform for more than a million businesses worldwide, with the tech giant hosting more than 1.4 billion users as of 2022 according to statistics from
A full list of affected services includes: sending messages, creating new group chats and messages, updating messages, bots' ability to post messages, users' ability to interact with Meeting Copilot, creating one-on-one calls, creating Virtual Events such as webinars or Town Halls, and Microsoft Teams Graph API which supports messages.
"We're determining the most effective way to alleviate impact and will update as our investigation progresses."
