Queensland's Miles government in particular has come under pressure ahead of the state election in October due to the Premier's strong links to the controversial union. "It is about time the Labor Party put the CFMEU in the bin," Queensland Liberal National Party deputy leader Jarrod Bleijie claimed. In response, the Premier on Tuesday told media he would continue meeting with union officials, but that his party would temporarily stop taking funds as the claims were examined.
