Telstra's chief customer advocate Teresa Corbin said the program was originally aimed at people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or a natural disaster, however, it was now open to customers in need of financial assistance."Everyone should have the opportunity to stay connected without compromise, and we want to do more to help make it easier."
Despite this, many Australians remain unaware of financial assistance programs offered by major companies.
