The Minecraft Legends devs answer some important questions in their new dev diary:

Now, the devs have shared a little more info about the game.We hear from chief creative officer Jens Bergensten, creative director Magnus Nedfors, narrative director Kevin Grace, lead narrative designer Rees Savidis, and still more devs in this latest video.
When asked if players will need to have played Minecraft, Nedfors answers,"I think this is a game for everybody. It covers such a broad range of gameplay, I would say you don't need any experience of Minecraft... if you know a lot of Minecraft... you will feel at home, but it's different as well.", we're told that we'll"explore a familiar yet mysterious land, full of diverse life, lush biomes, and rich resources. But this paradise is on the brink of destruction.
