The latest in a long line of impressive Minecraft builds might take the cake. One player has shown off a recreation of the famous Registan of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, recreated in-game with over 15 million blocks. This makes it one of the biggest Minecraft builds ever, though it's hardly the first one.
Among the other, massive, impressive builds in Minecraft, some have taken years to complete. Players have spent hundreds of hours in-game building their own, massive kingdoms, Night City from Cyberpunk 2077, a recreation of New York City, and even someone who built a 1-to-1 recreation of the entire planet Earth. Massive builds like these have been common from Minecraft players in the decade that the game has been out.
Although this isn't the first historical landmark to be recreated in Minecraft, it's certainly unique. While western landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Empire State Building, and others are often seen as the inspiration for massive builds, Islamic architecture is not seen quite as much. It's not clear whether pkmncar is from Uzbekistan or is merely an admirer of the style and construction of the Registan.

Whereas most players prefer to build a giant sword in Minecraft or recreate the magical world of Harry Potter, builds of real-world locations have significance to many people and cultures.
