There will be no anxious weekend of waiting for St Kilda, who booked their first finals berth since 2011, but the Giants' disappointing season is over. agerealfooty
There's a saying, if you want to get something done right, do it yourself. That was true for St Kilda, whose nine-year wait to play in finals is over after landing the killer blow on Greater Western Sydney's season.
Zak Jones and Jade Gresham aside, the Saints have a relatively healthy list for this time of the season. In slippery conditions, the Saints were more efficient in their ball movement, and their team defence held strong despite 46 fewer possessions. They were held goalless after half-time in a miserable finish to a campaign which started with such high hopes in March but never gained any momentum after the onset of the pandemic.
