West Ham’s 2-1 Europa Conference League victory descended into absolute chaos when football hooligans started hurling missiles, throwing flares and ripping up seats.
Anderlecht club has issued a statement following the chaos West Ham fans could be heard chanting at one point ‘come on you Irons’ Anderlecht has now issued an apology for the fans’ behaviour and Uefa said it will be launching an investigation.‘We want to apologise to West Ham. We don’t tolerate it. We strongly condemn this behaviour.’He said: ‘Everyone’s focus is taken away when there’s crowd trouble. It’s not something any club wants connected to them and I don’t at West Ham.
‘I didn’t have any interest in it as it’s one of those things you don’t want to talk about. I don’t want to draw any more attention to it.’
