Two luxury cars once owned by missing fraudster Melissa Caddick and her company Maliver have been sold at a Sydney auction, with the $361,250 proceeds to be distributed among her investors.
However, court documents indicated his wife purchased the sports car for him on May 6, 2016 for $390,000, with $30,000 from a trade-in and the rest of the purchase price sourced from Ms Caddick’s funds. Bruce Gleeson, one of the liquidators appointed by the court to dispose of Ms Caddick’s assets to return to her investors, had instructed Pickles Auctions to sell the cars.
Mr Gleeson is also hoping to sell two properties Ms Caddick bought with her investors’ money. They are her home in Dover Heights, which she purchased for $6.2 million in 2014, and a penthouse apartment in Edgecliff.
